This translucent stone is about 99% eye clean, and 95% loupe clean, with some feathering seen under magnification. Stone is birefringent, and has been clarity enhanced with heat.
Why So Cheap?
Will this gemstone end up in the Crown Jewels? No. Would they be used in products from Van Cleef and Arpel, Cartier, or Tiffany? Also probably no.
These are “B” rated gemstones; meaning they are the real thing, but not up to the standards for top tier jewelry. They’re great for collecting, making your own jewelry, or even as an investment.
